SailGP returned to Sydney Harbour for a thrilling three days of high-speed action on the water in February. Working alongside the global and local SailGP teams, the Thrive PR and digital teams were on point to deliver an integrated comms approach across event management, media and influencer relations and management of the Australia team social platforms.
Over the three days, Thrive hosted tens of media and influencer guests across the SailGP race village, Genesis Island and the Adrenalin Lounge and created over 100+ pieces of engaging social content.
The highly anticipated race was an exhilarating watch from start to finish and did not disappoint on the action front, with the French team taking home the Grand Prix win from Day 1 after the weather turned it on for the crowds in more ways than one!
With the SailGP Grand Final just around the corner on the 6 - 7 May 2023, we can’t wait to see more trans-tasman competition as the Kiwis and the Aussies fight it out with the Canadians in San Francisco Bay.
